About

Hi, I’m Misty. I’m the blogger behind this wonderful blog. Here is why I started this blog.

When I was a kid, I used to notice my mom tossing used tea leaves, banana peels, and other kitchen scraps into her flower pots.

I’ve always had a passion for cooking, and after getting married, I became a full-time cook. To my surprise, I realized just how much waste we generated during food preparation and fridge organization.

I wanted to find an organic solution to handle this waste. My goal was to reduce the amount of food waste and repurpose kitchen scraps in an environmentally friendly way.

I took it upon myself to research and explore biodegradable methods of managing these scraps.

Over time, I grew a strong interest in learning about both traditional and modern methods of regrowing plants from kitchen scraps. I thoroughly enjoy exploring various garden layouts, selecting suitable plants based on the climate and available space.

This newfound hobby brings me immense happiness and fulfilment.

I also encourage my friends and family members to create their own organic kitchen gardens. I guide them through the ins and outs of kitchen gardening (balcony and backyard), providing support and advice.

I started this blog to reach out to more individuals who are interested in transforming their kitchen scraps and food waste into fresh vegetables and herbs.
